The Civil Rights Museum Tour of America (CRMTOURS℠) is a tax-exempt District of Columbia non-profit organization designed to educate the general public on the importance and the historical and continuing significance of the civil rights movement in the United States, and around the world.

We are building an impactful curriculum exploring historical civil rights movements and how they shape our world today.

We are exploring ways to create virtual tours to discuss significant civil rights museums and memorials across the United States, such as the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial, Washington, DC  the Black History Museum and Cultural Center in Richmond, VA, the Dexter Avenue King Memorial Baptist Church and the Rosa Parks Library and Museum in Montgomery, AL, along with the King Center in Atlanta.

Explore the profound intellectual, political, and spiritual connections between Mahatma Gandhi and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., who visited India in 1959 “not as a tourist, but as a pilgrim.”

Participants engage in discussions about their experiences, led by civil rights scholars and leaders.

Educational Context on the Civil Rights Movement

We provide educational information on the legal, political, cultural, artistic and spiritual aspects of the American Civil Rights Movement which is very much alive and topical today. We emphasize the multi-dimensional, multi-racial and international aspects of the nonviolent movement that continues to influence struggles for equality and dignity around the world.

The movement’s influence extends beyond national borders, continuing to inspire struggles for equality, justice, and human dignity around the world today.

International Impact

The nonviolent movement’s principles continue to influence global struggles. We highlight how the American civil rights movement has inspired and continues to inspire movements for equality and dignity worldwide.

Through education and engagement, participants gain insight into the movement’s enduring legacy and its relevance to contemporary social justice efforts.

The civil rights movement remains very much alive and topical today. CRMTOURS℠ emphasizes the movement’s continued significance and its lessons for addressing contemporary challenges.

Participants explore how the principles of nonviolence, equality, and justice continue to guide efforts for social change in the present day.


When launched, the Tour will visit significant museums and memorials including the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial in Washington DC, the King Center and MLK National Historic Site in Atlanta, Dexter Avenue King Memorial Baptist Church and Rosa Parks Museum in Montgomery, AL.

Each site provides unique insights into the civil rights movement’s history, impact, and continuing relevance in American society and around the world.
